ABOUT ME

 

I grew up in Mexico City and as far as I can remember I've always been attracted to how commerce works. When I was 7 years old I set up my first proper business, a sweet stand outside my home door. I remember thinking how amazing it was that I could buy a bag of sweets and sell them to my many aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours and passers-by, make a profit and then re-invest my money to do the same again and again.

 

I moved to London over 13 years ago to study an MBA. I was always fascinated by how brands could influence people, so I chose to study Media and Marketing. It wasn't until I got my first marketing job that I found out about Google Analytics. I loved understanding user behaviour and learning all about the Google algorithm – from that moment on, I was hooked on the idea of working in SEO.

 

MY EXPERTISE

 

I consider myself to be extremely fortunate, because my job entails doing what I love, marketing, commerce and computers. Since that first marketing job my career has gone from strength to strength, from working with the newspaper publisher Trinity Mirror to improve SEO on their 45 recruitment websites, to working with large international media agencies like Mindshare. I’ve also had the chance to head up my own SEO teams at the online acquisitions specialist Atom42 and the independent media company Total Media.

 

These experiences have given me extensive knowledge in the fields of SEO and digital marketing. To date, I’ve worked on high profile SEO campaigns for brands such as Jaguar, TalkTalk, Three mobile, Unilever and Nestle brands, Match.com, Avanta, Trek and Nakd bars, The O2, National Accident Helpline, British Lion Eggs, Fred Olsen, and Strutt & Parker, to name a few.

 

In 2014 I became a freelance consultant, and I’ve never looked back. Having the freedom and the flexibility to choose my own projects is fantastic.  I love helping a thriving business to become even more successful, and I also enjoy working with entrepreneurs who inspire me.

Although I'm happy to work with entrepreneurs and established brands, it’s important for me to carefully pick who I work with and I don’t say yes to every project I'm offered. I only work with a limited number of clients at any given time to ensure a successful delivery of my services.
